Launch coverage on NASA TV will begin at 12:30 p.m. A post-launch news conference will be held at 2:45 p.m. On Friday, July 11, media briefings previewing the mission’s science cargo and a prelaunch status from Wallops will be broadcast on NASA TV at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. Media also may join the briefings by phone.
When the Axiom Space Mission 2 arrives to the International Space Station, it will be the second mission with an entirely private crew to visit the orbiting laboratory. The welcome ceremony is expected to start about 11:45 a.m. after the Dragon’s hatch opens at about 11:13 a.m. Live mission coverage will end with the conclusion of the ceremony.
Loaded with more than three tons of food, fuel and supplies for the Expedition 45 crew, the new Progress is scheduled to automatically link up to the rear port of the Zvezda service module about six hours after launch at 6:54 p.m. NASA TV coverage of rendezvous and docking will begin at 6:15 p.m.
